Join us from 8-12 July for an exhilarating Aerial Workshop this July school holidays. A perfect opportunity to expand your artistic repertoire and train with one of the best in the industry.
Under the guidance of Alex Charman- a celebrated Australian dancer, circus artist, and choreographer, you’ll enhance your dance and performance technique while mastering the artistry of trapeze, silks, and lyra.
Workshop Highlights:
- Small Group Size: Strictly limited to 6 students per age group to ensure personalised instruction.
- Cater to Each Age Group: Age 8-10, 11-13, 14-16, and 17+.
- Expert Instruction: Alex Charman brings extensive national and international experience in dance, circus, and choreography.
- Affordable Fees: Starting from $250. (Approximately $25 per hour only!) Prices vary depending on age group.

- 8 to 10 years – $250 per person
- 11 to 13 years – $312 per person
- 14 to 16 years – $375 per person
- 17+ years – $375 per person

Faculty
Alex Charman
Alex Charman is an Australian dancer, circus artist and choreographer who teaches, performs and creates nationally and internationally. Born in South Australian Alex has trained in dance, circus and acrobatics since the age of 4. In 2013 she began her tertiary education at Adelaide College of the Arts completing a Bachelor of Dance, graduating in 2015.
After graduating Alex travelled overseas to perform at the San Diego Fringe Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as taking part in every Adelaide Fringe since 2015 as a company member of Vertical Insanity Circus. Vertical Insanity Circus is a circus company which was founded by Alex and three other members and has toured nationally around Australia.
In 2016 she became the Head Trainer of Adelaide circus school, CircoBats Community Circus, which has grown over the last seven years into a community of over five hundred students. Alex also coached the youth performance troupe at CircoBats, choreographing over fifteen productions for the group which have performed at local events to professional productions.
Alex’s enthusiasm for her craft means that she is committed to remaining up to date with current safe practice for all forms of her teaching and professional work. She is dedicated to, and has a passion for learning and constant self-progression. Her versatility as a result of her culmination of skills in dance, theatre and circus makes her a unique tutor with a wealth of knowledge to share.
