After School Programs

GWB Studios provides first class industry linked performance training in classical ballet, contemporary and musical theatre.

Bridging the gap from performing arts education to the professional industry through big sister commercial producer GWB Entertainment (including Jagged Little Pill, An American in Paris, Girl from the North Country, West Side Story, Matilda, School of Rock, CATS, The Phantom of the Opera, A Christmas Carol, Groundhog Day, Miss Saigon, and Sunset Boulevard) and extensive networks of Australian and International industry connections.

We are focused on providing a welcoming space for a passionate community of like-minded students, staff, families, and the wider arts community, who are jointly dedicated to maintaining a nurturing, respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for the industry’s next generation.

Classical Ballet

Immerse your child in the timeless beauty of classical ballet, where each plié and pirouette becomes a step towards self-discovery. Our experienced instructors, with a wealth of expertise in the art form, guide students through a carefully crafted curriculum that instills discipline, fosters creativity, and builds a strong foundation in dance technique.

Fees

Classical fees are ‘per grade’. If participating in 2x grades, relevant costs apply.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre Program by GWB Studios

Introducing our new industry driven Musical Theatre program in 2024!

An intensive year of study for serious young artists to develop their ‘triple threat’: singer, dancer and actor skills.

Students will train in ensemble singing in a range of musical theatre repertoire, acting techniques for both spoken and sung dialogue and in ensemble and individual dance in a variety of musical theatre styles.

Performance opportunities include a by audition production in July, Australian Music Theatre Festival, Open Mic Nights and other public performance events.

This program is eligible for SACE Dance, Certificate III and Certificate IV in Dance requirements. Contact us to find out more information.

 

Who is Eligible?

Any aspiring performer in South Australia [make sure to obtain approval from your home studio].

The program can be a specialised add on to your home studio training or taken exclusively.

 

2024 Schedule

Musical Theatre Youth [9-12 years]

Thursdays, 4:30pm – 7:45pm [optional tap elective from 7:45pm – 8:30pm]

Optional electives on Saturdays between 12:30pm – 3:45pm.

 

Musical Theatre Pre Pro [13+ years]

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30pm – 7:45pm [optional tap elective from 7:45pm – 8:45pm]
